The Michigan State Christmas tree was cut this morning. The tree came from Bergland MI, from the yard of Josh and Amanda Lopac (Joshatthehoop)

Wow, that's cool, especially when you think of all the trees they would have to choose from in that state! Plus, Josh is a great guy!

Too bad Josh couldn't have had them mention the house was for sale in the article.

That is cool; I was just in Detroit yesterday about 4pm when a flat bed semi was delivering a huge tree to the downtown area, would this be the same tree?

wiggsfive-that wasn't the tree you saw. The truck with the tree left Bergland today and will arrive in Lansing Saturday morning. So if you see a big flat bed trailer with a tree heading down I-75 and then 69 that is it. It has signs on both sides that say, "This is your Capitol Christmas Tree" You can also go on ironwoodinfo.com and check out the whole story. The neat thing about this is that they named the tree after our expecting daughter-They named it the Ava Iola Christmas Tree. Later everyone.
