Depends on what part of the state. Northern part is two weeks, three weekends (11/7 - 11/22) The middle and southern part is only two (11/7 - 11/15). North is rifle, south is shotgun.

Yeah, Allen jumped on it and tied up three legs like a steer!
can you use a muzzleloader instead of a shotgun?

No; muzzleloaders are banned now in Minnie....the epa has gotten involved and the liberals in Minnie....have grabbed onto it and rode it into the ground.
Too much smoke...can't have that!

Ummm...there is a muzzleloader season in MN.

Coming back home from the sledchick bash in Andover I saw lots of orange blobs in trees. Was funny! And I saw this in Kaboolie's back yard! http://www.johndee.com/discuss/messages/58069/119334.jpg It was a 6pt chasin 3 does. ran right by the deck. could have spit on em!

He did have pics of it; both on a trail cam and after he shot it. I'll see if I can get a digital pic of it...they were all regular hard copies of it.

Did anybody else read about the buck shot near Sheboygan Falls WI with bow? Green scored at 217+ which would make it a world record deer. I don't think the score will hold up due to some irregularities in the rack but it's got amazing mass.
11-11-2009, 01:41 PM
Yeah, they are waiting for the "drying" period to take the official measurement, sounds like it will be close......Better get that one mounted!!!

There was also a non-typical shot in northern WI with a bow that might take that world record too. It had 30 points.

Found this little guy on our land on sunday while pulling my stand out of the swamp. Looked to be shot a little to far back and caught the guts.... Was laying maybe 4 or 5 days. Called the warden and he got me a tag so I could take the head at least for a european mount....
