To Go or Not to Go?

Couple guys and I are thinking about pulling out on Friday afternoon and head to the Mass City area. What do you think both offtrail and ontrail conditions will be?

Looking for Mass City or Bergland...Son passed his Snowmobile safety class last weeked and want to reward him with good trail conditions...will they be grooming by the weekend?

Watch out off trail even though its starting to get deep...base not packed and settled yet.

I have heard good things about the Bluff Bunkhouse in Mass, otherwise Krupps is always a nice place and just a tad bit farther down the road in Twin Lakes...I believe there is a place called Peppermill in Rockland which would also be a good choice...

Im planning on heading up to Mass City with 06mxzx and zx6r1996 as well...maybe we'll run into you guys...look for a Backcountry X '10, Summit XRS '10, and Renegade X '08...ill keep you posted as to when we make the executive decision about heading up...

The Bluff is booked for the winter in Mass City but remember that Matt has a second place in Rockland. Not to take too much away from the others but Matt is a great guy and you'd love staying at his place 7 or 8 miles away in Rockland. Call him up and book it!

There is snow! I drove through there last night and there were sleds on the trails so they are getting packed in. They have less snow than Houghton/ Hancock right now, but they got more last night. I've been out a couple times with the trail sled and didn't hit anything. We should be able to get the big sleds out by the weekend. Load up the sleds.

Be careful in the back country. No base yet and a lot of hidden treasures. Feel free to go and pack it down though.

Next weekend is my first trip. Now I just need to get the sled put back together.

This weekend will mainly be for breaking in the new Backcountry 800R and the Summit hillclimb for the group. Might do a little offtrail but mainly just sticking to the trails and screwing around. Our main trip is next weekend 12/18-12/23...coming back for Christmas then heading back up Christmas night...Life's Good!

A couple of the TK Krew will be in Mass that weekend, looking to Braaap it up! I know Cuzzinolaf and a couple others will be staying at The Bluff as well. Maybe we will see you up there and get some riding in. If not, stop by the apt for a "soda" after riding.
