    Default Lodging Grand Opening, Greenland

    http://i562.photobucket.com/albums/s...ownhall014.jpg

The old Town Hall will is officially open for Lodging, an upper and lower unit, potential for 15 people . Located between Houghton and Ontonagon. Great snow location for Lake effect. The lodging is completely remodeled. It was originally the Greenland Town Hall. It still retains some of it's original character. The structure has seen a complete face lift. It has been gutted inside and is all new. The entire place is just over 2200 sq ft and completely furnished. There is a large parking area behind the building for large trailers and trucks. There is a bar 100 ft away (Beer Belly Bob's.) Trail is 1 block away and riding is legal in town. Food is close by also. Yamaha shop in town, Poo and cat dealers in Ontonagon 14 miles down the highway.

Lodging prices: $120 for 4 guys ($30 per guy), $30 each additional guy. Basically $30 a person

Lenny, don't undersell your self. Comparing your price($125.00) with what we paid in Munising and from other sites I've looked at I would say your price is right! With kitchen and being newly remodel (rebuilt) Even with 3 people $125.00 is good price. The host is worth at least $75.00??

Would like to see pictures of the inside and what is a week rate. I'd come in Saturday afternoon and leave the following Saturday at 4:00am (I'm a morning person). It would be My wife and I plus our two dogs, which are caged while we are out.

    Feel free to email me.

hey Skylar, same original maple hardwood floors. I was supposed to go over there today and get the bedroom beds set up but I got a call for a huge ice damn on a roof so I was cleaning off ice and snow, needless to say I didn't get the beds finished. I'm going over there now to get a few more hrs in, hopefully I will post the pics tomorrow evening, if not than for sure the next evening. I have been looking into some of the history of this building. It was originally the town hall and dates back to 1901. Possibly earlier, I'm still investigation

    Thanks for the compliments !

How was the the ride in and all it's affairs. I sure wasn't happy about missing this time but that's how it goes.

Finally got all the little details complete except for the helmet and boot rack, closet shelf and rod. Paint is final and place looks exactly how I want it to look.

Skylar, I will get some pics of the bedrooms this week. There are 3 of them and all nice sized.

All weekends are open for march as of now. If it snows they can fill quickly, as I've been told. We are looking at some interesting forecast for this upcoming week. As a rider, I have seen some of the best conditions in March.

One thing I will assure you is I will never alter conditions to suite my financial needs. I want people to trust my words even if it means I do not fill a room. I traveled 440 miles to ride usually (before I moved to da UP) and have received bogus reports and would never listen to those liars again. I want repeat customers who can count on consistency from me.

Shoot me a line if you need a place to stay

    hey Lenny,

I showed the place to my wife. we've been looking for a stand alone place where our whole family can go seeing some of them dont ride and would like to lounge around during their stay. More pics would be great. So is the whole place rentable? I guess i'm trying to get a feel for it. Bedrooms are upstairs or is that separate rental area?

right now the upstairs is newly remodeled, so basically it is the upper half when your looking at a pic of the outside. It is just over 1020 sq ft so it is roomy. I am heading over there this afternoon to do a bit of work so I will get some pictures of the bedrooms. Eventually the downstairs will be a separate rental. There is an exterior side door that enters the staircase so access is completely separate. Right now the downstairs is a 100 yr old mess and used for storage. As of now the 1020sq ft upstairs in what is available.

We really enjoyed out stay at the town hall. The place is very well done and furnished with everything we needed. Great location to trails and is easy to get to. Thanks lenny for providing a great place to stay.

almost 4" of new snow since about 10 am. calling for 5-10. I'll keep you posted.

I have open dates from the 22nd on if you guys are looking for a place to stay. Trails were still pretty good before this new snow and seeing it's Sunday, this next week should be excellent.

I took a ride today with my buddies and the snow was awesome. We rode on and off trail and found both conditions to be nice. Some icy corners but plenty of coverage. Snow expected this week, lets pray!

The month of march starts tomorrow, we have a week coming up that has some warmer temp for highs during the daytime hrs. I am still recovering from a injury but willing to take guys out off trail soon. I wont be able to ride like I would like but will take you out if interested. Don't let the warm temps discourage you, this is when I get excited to ride, go out with a light pullover, enjoy not being cold, and ride where not many ride.
