    Default Long Track Conversion

I am in the process of converting my 04 ProX2 into a 136". Purchased the kit from Tracks USA with a 136x1.5 Camoplast Intense track. Bruce from Tracks USA told me I would have to notch out the lugs that are inline with the windows in order to get enough clearance for the heat exchangers. Is this true? If so, how much do I have to notch out? Any advice would be appreciated--thanks.

I did the tracks usa 144 kit on my 04 xcsp and yes you do have to notch the track. I started with 1/8 inch but ended up having to notch about 1/4 inch. Just notch it above all the clips. If you dont notch enough you can tell wehn it hits on the coolers. Roll it by hand and it is real obvious. I know it sucks carving up a brand new track but thats the way it is. Be carefull, dont slice yourself. (thats experience talking). Let me know if you need any advice. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice mikesac. Looking at the lug design on the track, I will easily be able to cut about 1/4". Didn't know if I would have to go much further... It makes sense though since the original track lug hight was 1.25 and had enough clearance.
