Default PCV Valve/tube on Chev 5.3

I went to replace this and its not coming out. Doesn't seem to be threaded so maybe just need to apply more force. Obviously I don't want to break anything. Any tips on how to do it?

Lots of great mechanics on this site,...thanks for your help!

BTW, the reason I want to replace it is due to unexplained (and sudden) use of oil at 86,000 miles. I took a finish nail and tried to clear it out. It seemed to have worked. Hoping it's nothing more.

The pcv should just pull out so try a little more force. I hope that is the fix on the oil usage. Let us know!

The PCV valve is part of the valve cover and on some trucks you cant replace just the PVC valve. You have to replace the valve cover.
