    Default Mercer to Copper Harbor

Has anybody ever made this run in one day. I've done mercer to houghton bridge and back in one day just over 300miles. Just wondering

definitely doable.....but a long day.......it's only 65 more miles to CH from the bridge....be sure to ride the loop trails and brockway mtn while you're up there....the 5 mi. trail to high rock bay (at the end) is one of my fav spots.

I've made that run several times in one day there, one day back, 520 miles round trip.

260 miles one way from MERCER to COPPER HARBOR, driveway to driveway.

It's not that hard of a ride if the trails are decent

We usually stay in Eagle Harbor (approx 25 miles before Copper) that way the next morning we can do the Brockaway Mountain trail in the daytime, which I.M.O. is the most scenic part of the trip.

How long did that take? Where did you leave Mercer from, town or the flowage?

    Nanook,

We left the great northern in mercer at 8am, and got to the houghton bridge by 12:30pm. The trails were flat the whole way. We stopped at skyview in presque isle for breakfast and the hoop n holler on lake gogebic on the way up that was it. We really made good time because of the trail conditions. On the way back it was a little slower because it was snowing so hard, its about 305 miles round trip from mercer to houghton and back. It's a good run we usually do this run every time we come up. Were going to try and go father past houghton next time.
