    Default Lodging in West Yellowstone?

    A group of us (4 guys) are headed out to West Yellowstone in March. What lodging do recommend to stay at or avoid? We would prefer a cabin either in town or very close by. We are towing a trailer or 2 so parking is a consideration.

    There are tons of places to stay out there. Do you want to stay in town or in the general area. I really like staying at Island Park rentals they have sweet cabins. In town (west yellowstone) there are mom and pops and chain motels aplenty. When you going? they have a big snow festival type event and town will be packed the week of March 12th. World snowmobile Expo is March 16th-18th in West Yellowstone

    Right now the plan is to stay in W Yellowstone in town. We are planning that week and I looked at W Yellowstone website and I found only this happening that week:
    March 13-18, 2012: Biathlon National Championships and US National Championships for Adaptive Biathlon.
    Cross country skiers with guns, that is kinda scary. No pissing off these twig pushers.

    You better find something soon. the town fills up mid week and many show much earlier. I was out there last year when the town started filling up. This year I will be out there the week of March 5th to avoid the traffic and get to Braap! the slopes before they get all torn up. How many guys going? Trail or off trail?
