Burnt sled in the middle of the trail- still on fire

How could you tell what it was? Plus, Ski Doo's never have any issues!!

I spoke to the 3 guys standing around waiting for it to burn down, then drag off the trail- we said, did you try and throw snow onto it to put it out- the guy said he heard it backfire, then flames were flying out of the hood before he could get off the machine, so they ran away from it? He told us what the sled was.
