Default What Spring Deal 2013 Sleds Did You Buy?

I wanted to see if we are buying new sleds? The warm Winter & Spring just took me right into Spring/Summer activities & snowmobiling became a dim memory with 70s & short sleeves in Northern WI. lol What 2013s did you buy this Spring?

Wanted to, but the trade in value would kill me. We have 2011 Yamaha LTX's with 3,500 miles on both and two year warranty remaining. Best trade in value quoted was $7,200 a piece and that dealer was higher on the new sled price than others. I am not going to take it in the shorts that much. Especially when Yamaha took away the tunnel adjustment for the comfort ride of rear suspension. Told the wife we will continue to ride these machines for at least another 2 years since they are not recognizing the warranty we have left.

Are you joking or for real? They can't do that and make any money, unless of course you paid top $ for the 2013, but even then.

Good topic by the way, it's always interesting to see what everyone ordered. I have a feeling orders will be way down this year!

Just added 3 more years of warranty on my 2010 F8LXR. With just under 10,000 miles on it i feel the need to test the warranty to the limit...I thought about buying new,but the prices seem to be holding me back....LOL...

Haven't done it but I'm kicking around a 2013 Indy 600, they seem to be snowchecking for cheap. I was quoted $6880 with the discount instead of $600 in gear.

WOW....I owned all 4 OEMs in the last 20 years. More doos than any other brand but the dreaded frozen 800 crank chased me from doo to the tune of $2400 for remanufactured 800. Poo must have messed up to stay then leave after 21 years but must agree there is a time to move on if nothing more just for contrast.

23 new Poos in last 32 years. before that (going backwards) Scorpion, Yamaha, poo, yamaha. poo, snojet, suzuki, evenrude, poo. that would be 32 sleds since 1972. Started with Poo and still with Poo.

Wow! That's an average of 1.25 sleds each year over the last 40 years between 1976 and now. Would be nice to have a new ride each year, but I'm on the 3 to 4 year ride/sell/upgrade program. How old are you anyhow?

Allright as some of you may or may not know I had some major issues with my POO the past couple years and especially this year. I felt that Polaris owed me something for all the troubles ( Breakdowns) I have had. I politely called the Polaris hotline after my dealer recommended that I should do that and see what if anything they would do. After 3 weeks of phone calls Polaris called my dealer and told them to tell me to call them again as they had something to offer , but would not tell him what it was. So I called them and they apologized up and down and told me that as a very loyal customer they would give me another year of bumper to bumper coverage on my 2011 snowmobile.. I was very content but not totally happy but understood there wasnt much more that they could or would do. After the phone call, which by the way was on speakerphone in my truck, I told my wife and son that I was pretty happy and would run the sled another year.Well we were actually on our way to Mich. and rode Friday and got all ready Sat. morning and got going 3 miles down the trail and blew out the chaincase. Towed the sled back to Headwaters and left it there to fix. We were up with the neighbors and kids and had a 4 day weekend planned so I thought I would rent a sled. So I did and got 5 miles down the trail and blew the motor . So whatever. we went back and sent everyone else off to have fun. Next weekend picked up sled and put 810 miles on in 2.5 days. Next weekend go back up with my son and Sunday AM a A-Arm broke off. Ruined yet a 4th trip of year. Took it into dealer to send in for warranty and they turned it down due to no warranty left on sled and also said wouldnt cover it as I couldve hit a rock or something, which I totally understand. But then I told them about phone call giving me a free year and they totally deny giving that to me. Im in unbelievable shock as is my wife and son who heard the whole conversation, and dealer cant believe it either . I am so upset Im not sure what if anything I can or should do. Sorry for being so long winded but had to vent. Any suggestions ?????

Got a letter from Ranger boats with free $100 credit card for Rangerware & letter stated I had 1 year from June 2011 to use free cc on Rangerware. They gave me this free $100 credit card because I bought a new 2010 Ranger & trailer in Sept 2010. So I took my time ordering stuff got bored in Feb with marginal snow conditions so ordered $100 worth of Rangerware & gave them the CC # & they told me free CC had expired. I said BS NOT what letter says would you like me to scan & email letter to you? Order taker said no I'll just make it effective here & redate it. Ok with me I'm still getting $100 of free stuff. Moral of the story is you need it in writing or just dust in the wind with big companies nobody knows nutin if you are not in their data base that warranty or freebies have been given to you. Somebody at Poo dropped the ball so your conversation never happened. I would call again & complain also let your dealer know how let down you feel. It SUCKS when an OEM won't stand behind their product & why I left Doo after my 800 crank froze & had flaking rings like this never happened to anyone else & after all the Doos I bought! F them bought a Yamaha Attak best sled I ever had. There is a time move on when your biz is not appreciated by the OEM.

With that much bad luck I would be looking at unloading that sled, even if they give you more warranty. That is alot of trips to have problems and ruin your trips. The biggest problem is you lose confidence in the sled, and it is always on your mind when the next breakdown will be.

I cant believe poo pulled that one sounds like a bunch of BS I would be done also.but not until every snow/atv forum was informed of what is up with poo consumer relations.
