    Default Spiders in pole barn

Any good remedies on getting rid of all the spiders? I keep wiping them down and off the walls and they just keep coming back for more and man do they make a mess.

    Hedge ball or Hedge apple

I have never tried them in the garage or pol barn but worth a try........i use them in our basement, in MN you can usually find them for about $0.75-$1.25 each. I usually put one in each room of the basement, does not eliminate spiders but seems to greatly reduce them. If you put them inside put them on a plate or some thing as some times they leave behind a little ring on the surface you place them on (would not want the ring on you coffee table or what not).

Bug/spider bomb. Works fantastic. It is an aresol can bug bomb. You close up the place set it off and leave the room ASAP. Kills everything. Lasts for a couple weeks. I go off for a couple beers and come back and leaf blow the dead out of the barn. Actually did this yesterday. One can for 24x24 garage, two cans in 24x36 barn. Kills them died. Leaves no film. It is actually a fogger for this purpose. I buy my bombs at the local hardware.

Hedge Apples work great, one in each corner.

While I have not used Hedge Apples, sounds like it is worth a try. I do know that if you gather green walnuts, once they form, it will drive out most insects...very pungent smell to them.

Realistically, the solution is to kill the food source. Get some insect killer at the Depot and mix it up in a sprayer and spray the baseboards around the barn. Once you kill the food source the spiders should go away...unless you live by a lake or place that breeds the flying types then you won't be able to cut of the food source. If the later is true, might try and tie up some bundles of moth balls in several places and see how that works....they work great for smaller areas but not sure how it would work in a big area like that.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...8094849AAOJiJ6 I am not the only one who does it this way. Pole Barns, storage units and boats all attract spiders. Bomb them. and be done with it. This is what I use http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/pr...-oz-p-194.html
