Default Will U.P. gas shortage cause gas prices to go up?

The wife and I are going to Marquette for vacation next week. Do you think this will have any bearing on what we pay for gas?

I just found an article that said the pipeline has started back up, I would hope the supply should be back up in the next week.

Demand is what has the biggest bearing on what we pay! Don't let the other PR stories fool ya!

Gas will be up, but wait till winter.

Here in Marquette County gas has gone up about 40 cents a gallon over the last two weeks.. Haven't been paying attention to the news much (was forced OT at work 20 days in a row) so not sure why, just know it has gone up pretty fast...

If there is a "gas shortage" then yeah price may go up and could have a bearing on what you pay. There answered the ??

What kind of pipeline supplies refined gas and diesel? That story does not seem to make sense.

.20 cent spike is a weekly occurance in the Twin Cities. Up .20 or .25 one day, and trickle down over the next 6. Its stupid, and a total screw job.

Pushing $4.00 here. Just a scam. Economy runs on what gas price is. Perceived value and stability of economy is based on what it cost to get around. Oil is King. High price for gas, spending slows down. Gas prices decline and wallets open up. Government needs to understand this.

You are correct and the bad thing now it is just not going to be at the pumps watch what is happening at the grocery store. We are in big trouble. And it will not be getting any better in the near future.

$3.94 here in central WI. Aren't oil companies still subsidised? So we pay to much for gas and they still get more money from us in the form of subsidies. It's time we had a government that had the nads to tell the oil companies that they are big boys now, it's time to survive on your own.

3.99 here in flatannoy. Did see this interesting trend with stations around here, their going back to the 80's on this, 5-10 cents cheaper for cash. So now with have a car wash price $3.79, cash price $3.89, and a credit card price $3.99. WTH is going on!!!! At least its not back like the 70's where it was double the price at the pump, $5 at the pump cost you $10 when you pay. I still think that was a scam!
