John,

Could the high Lake temps have an effect on LES?

Only the early season stuff. By mid to late December, the lake is always at a few degrees above freezing, no matter how warm it got over the summer.

I do remember when I was real young riding the sleds to Grandma's house for a Thansgiving feast.
